December 12, 2005 News in brief India has narrated several children's books for CD/cassette: --"Harmony Harris Cuts Loose" by Jenny Oldfield --"Marsha Martinez Meets the Stars" by Jenny Oldfield --"Indigo Blue" by Cathy Cassidy India also recently performed voiceover work for a "Full Works" headlice treatment ad for TV. May 4, 2005 India voices "MasterChef Goes Large" Sorry we're a bit late bringing this one to you. It appears that India Fisher performed the voice-hosting/narration duties on the recent run of BBC2 TV cooking series "MasterChef Goes Large." In fact, this was mentioned on the front page of the website of India's agent, Amanda Howard Associates. Congrats, India! May 4, 2005 Australia convention The Doctor Who Club of Australia has announced new guests for their upcoming convention in Sydney for October 2005. They include India Fisher, as well as Louise Jameson (Leela). More information can be found at the DWCA website. May 4, 2005 Big Finish update Further information has been released by Big Finish Productions about a number of upcoming "Doctor Who" audio adventures. While the cast lists haven't been officially announced, based on the story synopses on the individual releases' pages, Charley (India Fisher) does indeed appear in all the announced Eighth Doctor releases. The upcoming stories include: Terror Firma (July 2005) Scaredy Cat (October 2005) Other Lives (December 2005) Time Works (March 2006) January 21, 2005 Dead Ringers This past season of "Dead Ringers" on BBC2 TV has brought us a veritable wealth of India Fisher appearances. Following her debut last season (as a burglar and Jane Eyre), this new batch of episodes allowed India a greater range of performance, including a number of impressions. Her appearances this season have included: --Mother of the Exorcist child in a Nanny spoof --Kelly Osbourne --Charlotte Church (with Lesley Garrett in "The Sopranos" spoof) --Sonia from "EastEnders" --Kate Winslet You can see screencaps of many of these on the Pictures - Miscellaneous page. January 21, 2005 Luther Arkwright change The upcoming Big Finish audio mini-series "The Adventures of Luther Arkwright", which was originally to be 4 separate CDs, has been altered to be released as one 3-CD adventure. The story features India Fisher as Princess Anne, along with Paul Darrow, David Tennant, Mark Donovan, and more. Further information can be found at the Big Finish website. January 21, 2005 Exclusive interview! India was kind enough to once again grace us with a special exclusive interview. We sat down together at ChicagoTARDIS 2004. Head to the Interview page for the scoop. November 4, 2004 Blue Dove on ITV3 New UK television channel ITV3 is including the drama series "Blue Dove" as part of its new lineup. The program features India Fisher as "Hotel Receptionist", so it's unknown whether or not she appears in more than one episode, or indeed in which episode(s) she is in. If anyone has any futher information, please contact me. Especially if you're able to record it. :-) "Blue Dove" is scheduled to air Thursdays at 8pm, starting November 4. October 31, 2004 Ghosts of Albion Our friend Paul Reed from the India Fisher mailing list brings us the happy news that India will appear in the next "Ghosts of Albion" animated webcast. "Ghosts of Albion: Embers" debuts online on November 1st at the BBC website. India appears as Sophia Winchell in the six-part story. "Ghosts of Albion" is a nifty internet webcast (branching out eventually into books and role-playing games) created by Amber Benson (Tara from "Buffy the Vampire Slayer") and author Christopher Golden. Also starring in the story is Anthony Daniels, best known as C-3PO in the "Star Wars" films. October 31, 2004 More Dead Ringers Nev Fountain from "Dead Ringers" informs us that India Fisher will be appearing in the new series of his show, which starts back up on BBC2 on November 1st. Nev says she doesn't appear in that first episode, but will appear several times after that. He also mentions that of the eight or so sketches she's in, she does a few impressions this time round... but he won't say who, so as not to spoil the surprise. Catch "Dead Ringers", Mondays at 9pm on BBC2, November 1st through December 20th. October 16, 2004 Big Finish future It seems that "The Next Life" will not be the final adventure for our heroine Charley Pollard. Doctor Who Magazine Issue 349 confirms that July 2005's Eighth Doctor release from Big Finish will indeed be a Doctor, Charley and C'rizz adventure. However, it is not known if this is set after "The Next Life" or if it will be set before that story as a "missing adventure." We will let you know when we hear more information. October 16, 2004 Best Actress again! For the third consecutive year, India Fisher has been voted "Best Actress" by the readers of Doctor Who Magazine. The results of the DWM Awards 2003 survey were published in Issue 349. With 31.3% of the votes, India strikes again. Here's what she had to say about the award: "Thanks so much, this means the world to me. Thanks also to Gary and Jason, not least for affording me gainful employment, but for giving me the opportunity to work with so many amazing actors, writers and directors. I love every minute of it. Long may it continue (hint hint)!" Congratulations, India! October 16, 2004 Vote for India! It's election time in the United States, so in that spirit, let's all head over to the Tertiary Console Room website. They've added a new poll for Best Original to Audio Companion. Right now, Charley is in second place, behind Evelyn. Be sure to do your part for democracy, and let's make certain that the best woman wins! August 1, 2004 The Tomorrow People - Alone A new Big Finish "Tomorrow People" CD is now in release, and it features India Fisher as Therese Patterson. It's available to order here on the Big Finish website. Also available there is a trailer for the story. I recommend you listen to the trailer, and pay particular attention to the very last few seconds of it. August 1, 2004 UKtv update Also, I've received copies of the UKtv ads featuring India, so a big thank you to those of you who helped out. It's very much appreciated! Now hopefully one of these days I'll be able to put up some pics and such from them (and "Dead Ringers"). Wish me luck. June 26, 2004 India in UKtv advertisement! India has begun appearing in a series of advertisements for UKtv! There are apparently a few variations, but the main gist of the ads is that India storms into her boss' office, says and/or does some rather rude things, and gets fired, which makes her happy as it means she can stay home and watch UKtv. Congrats to India on another nifty job! June 26, 2004 The Adventures of Luther Arkwright "The Adventures of Luther Arkwright" is a new mini-series of audio adventures, starring David Tennant and Paul Darrow. The series also features India Fisher as Princess Anne. Find more details and ordering information here. Also check out the Pictures page for a new photo from the recording sessions. June 26, 2004 Short Trips anthology to focus on Charley "Doctor Who: Short Trips - Repurcussions" is a short story anthology due to be released in July. The synopsis on the Big Finish website tells us that it features Charley Pollard quite significantly. Granted, India does not appear to have contributed, but still, for followers of the Edwardian Adventuress, it's still of interest. June 4, 2004 New convention appearance scheduled India Fisher is a scheduled guest for the upcoming Doctor Who and the Daleks II convention in Liverpool. Check out the sidebar for more info and a link. Thanks to Paul Griggs for the info. May 22, 2004 Dead Ringers! Events and such precluded me from updating in time with this news, apologies for that. India Fisher appeared in a sketch on BBC2's "Dead Ringers" TV program! She played a masked burgler, and had only one line. However, it's a television appearance for our India! And that's something that doesn't happen every day! Apparently India has at least one more sketch "in the can" for "Dead Ringers", so hopefully she'll appear again. We'll try to keep you informed to the best of our ability. Meanwhile, check out the Pictures page for a screen cap of her appearance. May 16, 2004 Story title correction The final story of the upcoming season of Paul McGann Doctor Who audios is currently titled "The Next Life", and not "Rassilon" as initially reported. May 16, 2004 Petition noticed! Apparently our petition to get India cast in the new Doctor Who TV series seems to have been mentioned in a British newspaper! According to Issue 343 of Doctor Who Magazine, in the "What the Papers Said" article: "The Hickey column in The Daily Express on Feb 27 reported that 'fans of India Fisher, daughter of Labour MP Mark Fisher, are petitioning for her to be given the part of the Time Lord's assistant. "I have just got back from a wonderful Doctor Who convention in Los Angeles and I'm really touched the petition has been launched," she said.'" Cool! May 16, 2004 New audio appearance? We've heard word that India may have been back in the studios for another Big Finish audio. Not a Doctor Who this time, but it seems it may have been for a "Tomorrow People" audio. We'll let you know more as we hear it. May 16, 2004 Dead Ringers At Outpost Gallifrey's forum, I asked Nev Fountain about India's sketch(es) on Dead Ringers. The program has started airing again on BBC2. Here's what he had to say: "Not this week, I'm afraid, though her second sketch was played into the audience and went well. She came along to the green room to see it." Hopefully her appearance(s) will air soon. Again, we'll keep you updated as best we can. 5-1-04 News from the latest issue of Doctor Who Magazine includes word of the next "season" of Eighth Doctor audio adventures from Big Finish. With the advent of the new series of Doctor Who, featuring Ninth Doctor Christopher Eccleston, Big Finish are wrapping up the ongoing adventures of the Eighth Doctor, Charley Pollard and C'rizz. Four new audios will be released, beginning in September 2004 with "Faith Stealer". October is "The Last", November is "Caerdroia", and in December is a special 3-disc story tentatively entitled "Rassilon". After this point, any future Eighth Doctor audios will take their place alongside those of the Fifth, Sixth and Seventh as "past" Doctors and will no longer be scheduled in runs of "seasons". No official word on whether or not these will feature India as Charley, but we can hope. We'll of course keep you udpated as we hear news. Thanks to Outpost Gallifrey for the scoop, as I've not received my issue yet. Also a quick reminder to encourage you to visit "Doctor Who Day" over in Lancashire in the UK on May 15. India's scheduled to be there, so it'll be a blast! Have fun, and if you take any pictures that you would like to generously share with us for the website, please email them to me. Thanks! 4-28-04 India Fisher is listed as a guest for the upcoming ChicagoTARDIS 2004 convention in Chicago, Illinois, USA, over the Thanksgiving weeked in November. Not only that, but also confirmed as a guest is none other than Eighth Doctor Paul McGann! How's that for cool beans? As always, these appearances are subject to work committments and are subject to change. Check out the ChicagoTARDIS homepage for more info. Hope to see some of you there this year. I'm going! 3-27-04 India Fisher is confirmed as appearing in the first two episodes of the next series of "Elephants to Catch Eels" on Radio 4. She is listed as playing "various parts". Visit either www.tomandnev.co.uk or the BBC's website for the program. 3-10-04 Further information on the "Gallifrey" mini-series from Big Finish. It appears that India will portray Cecilia "Sissy" Pollard. Her character appears in the fourth story, entitled "A Blind Eye", which is set (at least partially) in 1939 on Earth. Check out the specific info (including the cover, which features an interesting-looking Miss Pollard...) here. "Gallifrey: A Blind Eye" is due for release in May 2004. 3-5-04 Doctor Who Magazine issue #341 is now out. In it, Big Finish reveals some more details of their upcoming 4-part mini-series entitled "Gallifrey", starring Lalla Ward as Romana, Louise Jameson as Leela, and John Leeson as K9. It seems that, alongside other guest stars, the series will also feature India Fisher as Sissy Pollard. Hmmm... The article does not specify whether or not India appears in a single episode, or all four, or two, or three. Just that she's in it somewhere. We'll keep you informed as we know more. The first story, "Weapon of Choice", is reportedly due out by the end of March 2004. Oh, and "The Natural History of Fear" is now in release. It features a sterling performance by Paul McGann, and is really quite good. And I'm not just saying that because Charley's in it, I promise. 2-19-04 A couple of items today... --"American Who" has uploaded their episode featuring an interview with India Fisher from November's ChicagoTARDIS convention. You can find it at the American Who website. --Quoting Nev Fountain over at the Outpost Gallifrey forums, Just a little 'heads up' for ya... 'Elephants to catch Eels' (series 2) is being recorded at the Drill Hall, London, on the eighth, twelfth and fifteenth of March. Tickets available from the usual place (the BBC ticket unit, funnily enough). Also, something that might be of interest to you - barring accidents, the cast on the eighth will be joined by a certain Ms India Fisher, who will be performing various parts of a miscellaneous and humorous nature. See ya there! So, check out the "Conventions & Appearances" sidebar for more details! Thanks, Nev! --I'm still collecting photos and such from Gallifrey 2004 to put up on the Pictures page. (...and from what I've seen so far, she looks absolutely stunning, as expected.) If you have any pictures or video or audio that you would like to share with India's fans, please email me, safe in the knowledge that you will receive full credit. 2-9-04 I know it's been a while, but we'll try to get you back up to speed. Here we go... --"The Creed of the Kromon" has been released by Big Finish. --"The Twilight Kingdom" cover has been posted by Big Finish. --"American Who": This radio/internet program will be featuring India Fisher on the Monday, February 16th edition. It can be heard at 5am EST on Business Talk Radio, or accessed at the American Who website. Thanks to Joey from Sci-Fi Overdrive for the info! 1-3-04 Happy New Year to one and all! Sadly, it turns out that India's sketch on "Dead Ringers" did not air on either the Christmas Special or the New Year's Special. However, Series Three of "Dead Ringers" begins airing on BBC television in May 2004. Nev Fountain is unfortunately unable to confirm whether or not her sketch will appear, but he is hopeful. As are we. We'll keep you informed as best we can. 12-22-03 Happy Holidays to you and yours! India recently visited 10th Planet in London, and recorded a special Christmas video greeting. Check out the 10th Planet site for the fun! Also, "Dead Ringers" is currently scheduled on the BBC's website at 11:05pm on Sunday, December 28. This may or may not contain India's sketch. The other "Christmas" special is reportedly set to air January 2, 2004, time unknown. More as we hear it. 12-14-03 More Big Finish updates! --"Scherzo" has been announced as being released. --The cover for "The Creed of the Kromon" has been posted. And it features India as Charley! --A trailer for "The Natural History of Fear" has also been released. Alas, no India. --A trailer for "Judge Dredd: War Planet" is up at the site. This one does, in fact, feature our Miss Fisher in her role as Shamthri. --Head to the Big Finish website for all the fun! And a bit of info about "Dead Ringers" via Nev Fountain (one of the folks behind the show). There are two specials coming up. One will be after Christmas, on January 2, 2004. Right now it's uncertain as to which special India's sketch will be in, nor is it certain that her sketch will indeed be shown. Apparently they over-record for the show, so some bits end up being left out. Nev tells us it's a good sketch, and thinks it will be shown, but right now it can't be guaranteed. Since it's a non-Christmassy sketch, chances are it would show up in the January edition. Thanks to Nev for the info... and feel free to check out his website too, while you're at it. 12-12-03 Some Big Finish release notes to mention... --"Judge Dredd: War Planet" is now in release. This single-CD adventure features India Fisher as a character named "Shamthri". More information over at Big Finish. --The December Doctor Who release, "Scherzo", should be due for release within the next week or so. No official release date is known, however, with 10th Planet holding a special Christmas party featuring members of the production on Dec. 20th, one hopes it would be available by then. Again, see Big Finish's website for more details. --Outpost Gallifrey reports (thanks to 10th Planet) that the upcoming Doctor Who release of "Scherzo" will be accompanied by a CD of Big Finish Magazine #4. The new issue features an interview with, amongst many others, India Fisher! This special CD may only be available with subscription copies like previous issues, although this is unconfirmed. 12-6-03 Brace yourselves, folks, we've got a bunch of items to get through... --India filmed a small part for the upcoming "Dead Ringers" Christmas TV special on Wednesday, November 26, 2003. She did not elaborate as to what role(s) she plays in the program. At the moment, it is unknown exactly when the special will be airing, but it is likely to be aired on BBC2. Keep your eyes peeled to this website, and you may also want to check out the BBC's site for more information (at some point... maybe). --India was also interviewed during the recent ChicagoTARDIS convention for the internet radio program "American Who". The tentative upcoming schedule lists programs for Dec. 9th and Dec. 23, but no mention of India. Check out the American Who website for more info (which at the time of writing was currently down... hopefully it will be back up soon). --Doctor Who Magazine Issue #337 features a special giveaway CD from Big Finish. The CD contains a brand-new Eighth Doctor/Charley story entitled "Living Legend." Also on the CD is a behind-the-scenes look at the 40th anniversary story, "Zagreus". The special is narrated by... yep, you guessed it, India Fisher! Admittedly, she doesn't get to do a whole lot more than introduce the various actors and crew. But, heck, just hearing India say, "Lalla Ward", and "Paul McGann", and even "Jason Haigh-Ellery" sends warm feelings to my heart. *Sigh!* --An EXCLUSIVE interview! Yours truly was graced with a special interview with Miss Fisher herself during the recent ChicagoTARDIS convention. Head for the Interviews page for the fun! --Also at this very website, new pictures taken by myself at ChicagoTARDIS. Also new scans of promotional pictures of India, autographed! Head to the Pictures page for the glory! --And last, but not least, a new poll on the Miscellaneous page. --*Whew!* 11-24-03 India Fisher and Paul McGann were a big hit over the anniversary weekend for Doctor Who. They appeared together at 10th Planet in London, signing the 40th Anniversary Big Finish release, "Zagreus". Check out the 10th Planet site for more pictures, as well as a number of video clips from the event. India is featured in most of the clips (hmm, imagine that!), one of which mentions... A Christmas party! In one of those 10th Planet clips, she invites us to join her at "her" Christmas party! Turns out it's actually 10th Planet's Christmas shindig, of which she is a guest, signing Big Finish's "Scherzo", along with the story's author, Rob Shearman. The site also mentions a "Big Finish Crew", but we don't know much more than that. Hopefully the site will have more specifics soon. And a reminder to come see India in Chicago! She will be a guest at the Chicago TARDIS convention in Chicago, IL, in the USA. From what we are hearing (thanks, Leon!), India will be arriving at some point on Friday. So, for those of you hoping to join her during the Thursday night social, I'm afraid we're out of luck. Excuse me while I go weep in the corner... *Ahem* I'm OK. Anyway, her first panel will likely be sometime Friday afternoon. Your friendly neighborhood webmaster will be attending said convention, and will, alas, not have internet access. We hope to be back soon after the event with a full report, plus photos! Stay tuned! For those of you heading to Chicago, drop me a line if you want to have a very informal India-fan get-together type thing at some point. 11-10-03 The first annual Doctor Who Magazine Awards ceremony was held during the recent Panopticon 2003 convention in London. Taking first place in the Best Actress category was India Fisher! Congratulations to Miss Fisher. Check out the Pictures page for a couple of photos from the ceremony. Also check out the BBC's official site for a list of other winners, and even more info in the special "We Love Doctor Who" issue, as well as regular issue #337 (which features an exclusive Eighth Doctor/Charley audio adventure on CD!) of Doctor Who Magazine. India has also just been added to the guest list for next February's Gallifrey convention in Los Angeles. Head to Outpost Gallifrey for the scoop. 10-28-03 Word reaches us that India Fisher is tentatively (but apparently there's a really good chance) scheduled to join the ChicagoTARDIS convention in Chicago, USA over the Thanksgiving weekend, which is November 28 through November 30 (Friday to Sunday). Barring work commitments, of course. We hope to see her (and you!) there! Your trusty webmaster intends to go, and will bring you a full report (with pictures!) if all goes according to plan. 10-28-03 India Fisher has been announced as the first ever patron of the Doctor Who Autograph Collectors Club. Not quite sure what that all entails, but you can check out the link to the DWACC to find out for yourselves. 10-17-03 Doctor Who Magazine Issue 337 will feature a special Eighth Doctor audio adventure from Big Finish, featuring Paul McGann, with India Fisher as Charley. The story is entitled "Living Legend". And not much more is known about it at this stage. 9-28-03 India Fisher will be appearing onstage in "Dead of Night", a thriller, at the Gala Theatre Durham. The play is set to run briefly, October 21 through 25. Check out the Big Finish website for more details, and also cast your eyes just to the right of this news listing for a bit more, too. 9-18-03 "Doctor Who" news... At the recent Dimensions 2003 convention in the UK (and check out our Pictures page for a nice pic of India at the convention!), Big Finish producer Gary Russell announced several new details on the upcoming 40th anniversary audio story "Zagreus". This, combined with information from the latest issue of Doctor Who Magazine, lets us know a tiny bit more than we did before. Of special note for us is the fact that India Fisher is now "officially" announced as participating in the adventure as Charley Pollard. Also recently announced at Dimensions was news of a fourth season of Paul McGann adventures, to be recorded some time in late 2004. Of course, at this point, we have no idea whether or not India will be along for the ride for Season 4 or not. We certainly hope so, and we'll keep you updated as best we can. For more information about these news items, set your internet tuner to Outpost Gallifrey. 9-18-03 "Shelf Life" news... MEV Productions has announced that their independent short film, "Shelf Life", which featured India Fisher in a minor role, will soon become a full-length feature film. Also of note is the fact that many of the original cast members from the short film will appear in the feature. The list of returning cast includes India! Also of note on the MEV website is a downloadable trailer for the original "Shelf Life" short film. The trailer includes a brief clip of India. Check out the MEV website for much more information. 8-7-03 India Fisher will be a guest actor on an upcoming Judge Dredd audio from Big Finish. Entitled "War Planet", the CD, due September 2003, features India as a character named Shamthri. We've added a picture of the cast to our Pictures page. The audio is available to pre-order at the Big Finish website, specifically here. Thanks to Simon Catlow of the amazing Tertiary Console Room for catching this update that I missed entirely! 8-6-03 Big Finish has announced the forthcoming publication of "Doctor Who: The New Audio Adventures - The Inside Story" by Benjamin Cook. Due for release in November 2003, the book will cover the making of each of the Doctor Who stories, from "The Sirens of Time" through "Zagreus". The book promises to have interviews with "major players", and we are hopeful that they will include Miss India Fisher. We will keep you updated. For more information, see the Big Finish website. 6-27-03 Tenth Planet has announced that India Fisher and Paul McGann are scheduled (work permitting) to sign the new Big Finish 40th Anniversary story "Zagreus", on Sunday November 23, 2003. More details can be found on the Tenth Planet website. 6-20-03 SFX Magazine has let slip some details from the forthcoming Paul McGann "Doctor Who" season. It appears that India Fisher does indeed return as Charley Pollard... at least for some of the stories. Still no official confirmation, but word is that Charley survives "Zagreus" and co-stars alongside Paul in the two-character story "Scherzo" Further story info can be found on the Charley Pollard page. Thanks to Outpost Gallifrey for the scoop. 5-11-03 Big Finish has released details on the upcoming book release entitled "The Audio Scripts - Volume 2". It will include the scripts for four episodes from the Big Finish "Doctor Who" audio series, including "Seasons of Fear" by Paul Cornell & Caroline Symcox, which features the Eighth Doctor and Charley Pollard. Also included is an essay written by India Fisher. Details and ordering info can be found at the Big Finish website, specifically here. 5-4-03 Paul McGann speaks briefly about his companion in a new interview (conducted by K-9, apparently) up at the BBC's website for the new webcast of "Shada" by Douglas Adams. Paul is asked "What's different about working with Lalla Ward rather than India Fisher?", to which he replies: "Well, we've only just started today so I don't know, but I miss India to be honest. Nothing against Lalla, but I miss India, I keep expecting her to walk in through the door. They're different of course, India is more like working with your little sister." :-) The first part of "Shada" is now up, and it sounds great. Check it out! ...Even though it doesn't have India. 4-26-03 "Shelf Life", the independent short film from MEVFilms (in which India Fisher has a small role) will have its premiere at the Sutton Short Film Festival 2003, which is part of the Sutton Arts Festival. The premiere will take place in the Charles Cryer Studio Theatre in Carshalton, Surrey, England, on May 18, 2003. More details are available at the Festival's site and at MEVFilms. The trailer for the film is listed as "Coming soon" on the MEVFilms site. More news as we get it. 4-13-03 India Fisher is featured in a new BBC Radio 4 Afternoon Play this month. Wednesday, April 16, 2003, BBC Radio 4 will air "Committed to Paper", written and produced by Ellen Dryden. Starring India and Paul Ritter, the play will air at 2:15pm (UK time) on Wednesday. The synopsis from the BBC Radio 4 site reads: "Barbara doesn't want to leave London for a life in the middle of nowhere with her aunt and uncle. She finds her aunt glamorous, her uncle disagreeable and baby Robert adorable. Then the trouble begins." We're guessing that India portrays Barbara. For those of you not in the UK (or anyone who misses it), the play will be available to listen to online at the BBC Radio 4 site for one week after its airing. 3-9-03 India Fisher will have a small role in an upcoming independent feature film entitled "Shelf Life" from MEVFilms in the UK. The film is a mock documentary about a struggling actor named Alex Grant, and it features interviews with actors who have worked with Alex before. India will be one of the interviewees. More details, including some screenshots, can be found at the MEVFilms website. 3-9-03 Outpost Gallifrey is reporting that at the recent Invasion 3 convention in the UK, Gary Russell of Big Finish Productions confirmed that Paul McGann will star in four more audio adventures following on from the 40th anniversary story in November 2003. The four stories will be released December 2003 through March 2004. The report does not go into much detail, however, and does not indicate whether or not India Fisher is also on board for the new "season". She is most likely featured in the anniversary story entitled "Zagreus", which picks up where the cliffhanger ending of "Neverland" left off. We, of course, hope the Charley Pollard continues her adventures with the Doctor. We'll keep you informed. 1-18-03 India Fisher's sister, Francesca Hunt, has recently given birth to twins, Nathaniel and Georgia. That makes India an aunt! I'd say see our sister site Francescadmiration for more details, but, well, I'm afraid there really aren't any more details. Sorry! 1-18-03 Gallifrey One - Episode XIV: The Faction Paradox, a Doctor Who and Science Fiction convention in Los Angeles, California, USA, is rapidly approaching. Numerous guests are scheduled, most notably India Fisher!! And also Colin Baker, Peter Davison, and many more. Alas, your friendly neighborhood webmaster is sadly unable to attend this convention. If anyone is interested in sending in a con report, relating to Miss Fisher, we would be most grateful. And any pics you might be kind enough to take and send in would be most appreciated as well. You will get credited, by the way. Any goodies can be emailed to me. Also, if anyone is interested in getting Miss Fisher to sign a photo to me, Kevin, and then send it to me, please email me for my address. Serious inquiries only, please. :-) More details on the convention can be found at Outpost Gallifrey. The BBC's Official Doctor Who website has recently added some nifty desktop wallpapers that you can download and use for free! Included among the selections are two India Fisher related titles, namely "Neverland" and "The Chimes of Midnight". Check them out here. 9-13-02 Outpost Gallifrey is reporting that India Fisher has had to bow out of this Thanksgiving's ChicagoTARDIS convention in Chicago, IL, USA. This is due to India's acting commitments. So, while we are sad she will not make it to our shores this November, we are happy that she is keeping her busy acting career buzzing. See the original report here. 7-27-02 Doctor Who Magazine has published its DWM Awards 2001 results. Coming in at #1 in the category "Best Actress" is our very own India Fisher! She garnered 28.66% of the votes in that category. Here's what she had to say in regards to the award: "I am delighted to win Best Actress, albeit rather shocked! Charley is such a wonderful character to play, and recording the audios is always a pleasure. Thank you all the DWM readers who voted, and I hope that I get the chance to carry on playing a part I enjoy so much." (Source: DWM Issue #320, Aug 21 2002) 7-26-02 Big Finish, producers of the audio Doctor Who adventures featuring India Fisher as Charley Pollard, have announced the upcoming release of a DVD featuring an interview with Eighth Doctor Paul McGann. The DVD, which will be "Region 0", meaning it will play in any DVD player, will also feature an interview with India Fisher.
